The reproduction sector: with over 14 million eggs produced annually, the reproduction farm utilizes only carefully selected hens, whose health is closely monitored by a veterinary lab.The incubation sector: with a capacity of processing 12 million chicks annually, the incubation sector utilizes only eggs produced in Transavia’s reproduction sector. The hatched chicks obtained here are then transferred to the breeding farms under maximum bio-security conditions.
The combined feed factory: the facility produces approximately 250 tons of feed daily, is fully automated and hermetic. The factory is fitted with a feed sterilization installation, the only one in Romania, and the feed formulas are analyzed in our own laboratory.
Breeding sector: the breeding farms are completely isolated from the external environment, and Transavia’s chickens are bred in conformity with the European standards for animal treatment; their breeding conditions are ensured exclusively by automated processes, the feeding and drinking being sensor-controlled.
Industrialization sector: this sector includes a slaughterhouse built in 2004, with an annual capacity of 50,000 tons; it is the only one in Eastern Europe, is fully automated, and fitted with the latest technologies available in the field. In order to certify the health of its livestock, Transavia operates a laboratory for testing the meat and the health conditions of its chicks, including the examination of the parents, the incubator, the farms and the feed.
Distribution: Transavia runs a very well organized transportation fleet; over 100 vehicles, equipped with refrigeration systems and temperature sensors, guarantee the products’ delivery in the best of circumstances.
