Due to our unique production facilities, our own fodder plant, slaughterhouses, farms and our own incubation stations, you can be certain that you will benefit from the freshest natural products for your family meals.
 
And because only together can we maintain the tradition of natural and healthy cooking, we present several of the food safety systems of Transavia:
 
Biological security
 
At Transavia all activities are carried out in a well controlled and monitored circuit. Thus, we always offer chicken optimal breeding spaces – without stressing them or affecting their health – and we feed them differently, depending on each category. Moreover, the alleys and transportation vehicles are washed, disinfected and checked daily, so we guarantee the delivery of perfectly natural and healthy chicken.
 
Strict disinfection procedures
 
Safety control at Transavia begins with our own staff. The employees involved in food safety assurance follow an annual vaccination program and they are trained with a periodicity schedule. Moreover, employees work only with sterilized protection equipment. No matter if they come in contact with birds or not, they strictly follow the hygiene program: they change their clothes and disinfect the equipment with formalin.
 
Controlled transportation
 
We ensure the quality of shipments and set rules and procedures for each route. Farms have sealed bunkers in which fodders are stored, so that they are kept under optimal conditions. Moreover, the footwear and clothes of the personnel and the means of transportation for fodders are washed and disinfected both outside the farms and at the entrance of the fodder facility by special mechanisms.
 
Monitored chicken breeding
 
By innovative technologies in Europe, Transavia ensures the most adequate chicken maintenance conditions. The breeding farms have spacious and well-ventilated rooms, which are insulated and protected from contact with other birds or animals. The access of the personnel and visitors in farms is ensured by complying with biosecurity procedures and hygiene norms of the sanitary-veterinary filter.
 
The temperature is optimized depending on the season: in winter we use efficient heat generators, and in summer the comfort level of the chicken is ensured by fans and water spraying installations. And to ensure that the chicken grow as healthy as possible, Transavia has its own epizootologist, who draws up and implements special programs for caring after and treating birds.
 
Transavia slaughterhouses
 
Washed and disinfected on a daily basis with cleaning solutions, the slaughterhouse is equipped with a testing analysis which confirms whether the operation was performed correctly or not. Thus, we maintain European hygiene standards and we take care of the quality of your food products.  
 
Storage and transportation
 
As soon as they are packaged, Transavia products are stored in especially fitted for refrigeration and freezing. Thus, chicken are kept in optimal conditions up to the moment of delivery.
 
Products are transported in 100 Transavia isotherm vehicles, equipped with refrigerating installations. Thus, you can be certain that you will enjoy well preserved and healthy products even more.
 
Selected fodder combinations
 
Healthy eating is also maintained by the quality of consumed fodders, so we take great care of the manner in which Transavia chicken grow. For this purpose, their food is analyzed in our own laboratories in the Transavia mixed  fodder plant.
 
From here, chicken receive 4 assortments of food, especially created for their category and growth stage. All this time, their harmonious development is ensured by the systematic adjustment of the artificial light, microclimate, water and food.
