On Thursday, February 21st, at the „Mihai Viteazul” National Military College in Alba Iulia, Col. Marcel Domșa – commander, and Dr. Eng. Ioan Popa – president of Transavia, cut the ribbon inaugurating a conference room equipped to the highest standards, created with Transavia's financial support, based on a partnership concluded between the two elite units at the initiative of its owner.
The inauguration also marked the beginning of the events dedicated to celebrating the centenary of the „Mihai Viteazul” National Military College, which will be organized this year and will culminate with the anniversary festivities on November 1st. The conference room was set up in the space of the former Trophy Room. The new room features modern furniture with about 30 executive chairs, a podium, microphone stations at each table, speakers, a video projector, and a huge state-of-the-art smart TV.
„IHere is the proof that it is possible. A partnership between two very stable and very important entities in our county, a partnership with a serious group, such as the Transavia Group, a partnership with an elite high school can only yield exceptional results.”, said Prefect Dănuț Hălălai, feeling honored
„Things came together naturally: a company of excellence and an equally prestigious educational institution came together to do such wonderful things together. If everyone were to take Mr. Popa's example and your example as an educational institution in his domain so things in Romania would be solved”, said the president of Alba County Council, Ion Dumitrel, who recalled the investments made by Transavia in the Alba Iulia County Emergency Hospital.
„Such an event that we are experiencing today is perhaps a unique moment, but it is perhaps a moment of quality, considering the fact that the results of this unit also attract very high-quality investments”said deputy general school inspector Alexandru Dăncilă, who emphasized the support provided to the Alba County School Inspectorate by Transavia, especially in organizing national Olympiads.
„I am glad that I could be of help with this—what I call a symbolic investment; given the level of investments I am used to making, of course, not as charity, but for the company's benefit, these amounts are trivial, but I am glad I could be of help. I want you to know that both I, personally, and the company I own provide sponsorships and build various things of up to 1 million euros per year, which I do not think is a small amount, and I would wish for many Romanians to have the ability and, implicitly, if they have the ability, the desire as well, to do something for society with such an amount. We help very many people and children with problems, we help the education system, we help the healthcare system, and we also help athletes.”, said Ioan Popa.
