McDonald's is launching Supreme Chicken Tenders in Romania for the first time, following a recipe developed with Transavia, the largest local chicken meat producer. The new Supreme Chicken Tenders contain three generous and tasty pieces of tender chicken breast, coated in a fine layer of crispy breadcrumbs and seasoned with chili flakes. The products are available in all McDonald's restaurants across the country starting today, June 25.
The new Supreme Chicken Tenders are made from whole pieces of 100% chicken breast from the Fragedo range, under which Transavia offers products of the highest quality, with authentic taste, tenderness, flavor, and superior nutritional value. Thus, McDonald's continues to collaborate with its local partners and develop new recipes with premium ingredients that meet the needs and preferences of consumers in Romania.
„40% of the ingredients we use in our restaurants come from local suppliers, and we’re thrilled to have had the opportunity to create this recipe together with our trusted partners at Transavia. Chicken is one of Romanians” favorite ingredients, and because we always strive to come up with new and unique recipes, this summer we’re offering our guests a product made in Romania from 100% juicy and flavorful chicken breast.”, stated Irina Angelescu, marketing director of Premier Restaurants Romania, the company that operates McDonald's restaurants in Romania.
„Our partnership with McDonald's, built on trust and our shared focus on quality standards, brings customers in Romania a product with the authentic taste of tender, savory chicken breast made just right. Fragedo chicken, raised naturally and fed 100% on grain from our own farms—where we strictly observe all European legislative standards for safety and sustainability—gives the new Supreme Chicken Tenders recipe superior nutritional value, a tender texture, and a savory taste. We look forward to continuing to develop new, safe, and savory chicken recipes together in the future with the same responsibility and dedication, tailored to the tastes of Romanians.”, added Tulia Cășvean, Transavia Communications and PR Director.
The new Supreme Chicken Tenders are available in all McDonald's restaurants nationwide, including at McDrive or via McDelivery, starting June 25, 2021. A portion of Supreme Chicken Tenders consists of three generous pieces of chicken, and customers can order a portion or include it in a meal, alongside a soft drink of their choice and French fries.
