Let's admit that, regardless of its longevity on the market, number of employees, or earned reputation, a company can also face less positive opinions or views. It is natural for this to be the case, especially when there are daily interactions with partners, clients, and office colleagues. In the real world, it is impossible for everything to be perfect. This time, we chose 4 representatives from 4 different fields, who honestly shared with us how they deal with less-than-positive feedback.
How do you handle negative feedback from employees, candidates, or clients?
Sonia-Maria Mărginean, Recruitment Manager @TRANSAVIA: We like to believe that our superpower is being attentive and responsive to feedback. We consider every piece of feedback, whether positive or negative, to be an opportunity for learning and continuous improvement. Within the TRANSAVIA team, we cultivate this feedback culture by encouraging current and prospective employees to always offer us honest, constructive feedback.
We make sure it is not toxic feedback, we listen and communicate in such a way as to find out the reasons behind it. We build that rapport which encourages collaboration and allows us to understand the extent to which candidates are aligned with our values. In turn, we offer transparency and trust, and once we understand the causes and the situation flagged by negative feedback, we take action. We make sure we continuously improve the experience of our employees, partners, and clients.
