Frequently Asked Questions
Careful answers for informed choices: discover the path of quality from bean to fork.
Why is the chicken meat from TRANSAVIA always tender and tasty?
Because everything is done just right, with care, from farm to fork. The chickens come exclusively from our own farms and are fed with feed produced in our Compound Feed Mill, made from grains and sunflowers grown on land worked by TRANSAVIA, following recipes developed by veterinary nutritionists. This control is evident on the plate: tender meat with a firm, uniform texture that always cooks well, browns nicely, and stays juicy, whether you grill it, pan-fry it, bake it, use an air fryer, or prepare it however you like.
Is the TRANSAVIA chicken meat pale pink?
The natural color of chicken meat and skin varies from pale pink to yellowish, depending on the breed, age, fat content, and, above all, diet. The yellowish shade appears when the feed contains ingredients rich in beta-carotene (such as corn or alfalfa) or authorized additives that intensify the color. Nutritionally speaking, however, there are no differences between pale pink and yellow chicken. The color is a matter of appearance, not of quality or nutritional value, and when cooking, the difference is felt in the tender and uniform texture and the way the meat cooks cleanly, without variations.
Why is precise portioning of products important?
Precise slicing means that each piece of meat is carefully prepared so that it retains its natural shape and integrity. You can easily recognize it in packaging where you can choose products that do not have irregular edges or loose fibers, and the appearance is clean and uniform. When cooking, this helps the meat behave predictably: it retains its tenderness and juiciness, cooks evenly, without falling apart or losing volume. At the same time, you reduce waste and no longer waste time with adjustments or pieces that need to be „saved” during preparation, and the final result always looks good, with no extra effort.
What do you choose when you want something savory, but effortless?
Ready-to-cook products (semi-prepared foods), such as Fragedo Crunch Your Lunch, Fragedo Delicii Urbane, or Papane, are perfect for those moments when you want something good without starting from scratch. They are already prepared: correctly portioned and, depending on the range, coated with spices, aromatic herbs, or golden, appetizing crusts. You cook them however you like—in a pan, in the oven, on a grill, on a barbecue, or in an air fryer—and they turn out just as good every time, effortlessly.
How do you interpret the protein percentage in coated products?
In coated products, such as schnitzels, bites, strips, and goujons, the protein percentage is influenced by the total composition: meat + crust (breadcrumbs, flour, multigrain, oats, etc.). A good protein level indicates a balanced meat content in the product, and the closer the percentage is to the upper end of the range, the more meat the product contains relative to the coating. However, it is important to know that in some products on the market, part of the protein may also come from plant sources (for example, pea protein). This contributes to the total value, but it does not have the same biological value as chicken meat protein, which contains all essential amino acids.
